Applications |
As raw material for organic synthesis, pelargonic acid is widely used in perfume, high-end lubricant, terminating agent, herbicide, plasticizer and other industries. In perfume industry, pelargonic acid used for the production of synthetic perfume, ethyl pelargonate and nonanol, which are used for food. In the lubricating oil industry, it can be used as synthetic lubricant materials. The thermal stability of the lubricating oil can be increased by its ester derivatives. Application of pelargonic acid in the polyethylene, it is as the reaction chain termination agent. Application of pelargonic acid in the agriculture: in 60% nonanoic acid diesel solution can be used as a herbicide. Pelargonic acid vanillylamide is a kind of capsaicin can be added to food, can also be used in insecticides. Application of pelargonic acid in the plasticizer industry: used in the production of nonanoic acid ester plasticizer. Especially ethyl pelargonate can be as the toughening agent of the synthetic rubber. Pelargonic acid saturated chain structure is not easy to be oxidized, as modifying agent can prevent resin products pale, and play to keep elasticity and toughness, prolong the aging function. |
