Product Description

Magnesium Stearate

Composition: The product is a mixture mainly composed of magnesium stearate (C₃₆H₇₀MgO₄) and magnesium palmitate (C₃₂H₆₂MgO₄). The relative content of stearic acid in its fatty acid is no less than 40%, and that of stearic acid and palmitic acid in total is no less than 90%.

Properties: The product is white, slightly loose fine powder, no grittiness; with slight special stink, soapy feeling when contact with skin, insoluble in water, ethanol or ether.

Quality indicators: In accordance with BP2011, USP29/NF24, Section II, Edition 2010, Chinese Pharmacopoeia

Application: The product has lubricating, anti-adhesion and flow aiding functions. It is mainly used in pharmaceutical preparation as lubricant, flow aid or anti-adhesion agent for tablet, capsules. The use level is generally 0.25%-2.0%. It can also be used in skin care cream and cosmetics.
